Cell/tissue cryopreservation and cold storage are central challenges e.g. in biobanking. Freezing and cryoprocessing are becoming increasingly important as an essential production step in life sciences.
Immense progress is being made in cold application in life sciences at all, correlating with new solutions for producing, cooling/freezing, storing and the handling of biological materials and bio-products along the cold storage and production chain up to the end-user.
The 2nd IIR Workshop on Cold Applications in Life Sciences provides an interdisciplinary scientific platform for discussion and exchange of experiences between R&D-institutes and industry.
